Contract extension agreement reached between FC Barcelona and the player Xavi Espart, who is now set to stay with the Club through to 30 June 2030. The Club and player will formally sign the contract at the Club offices in the presence of FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta in the coming days. Once signed, Xavi Espart will speak with the media.
Xavi Espart arrived at La Masia in summer 2015 and went on to make his FC Barcelona first team debut in March 2026 under coach Hansi Flick at St. James’ Park in the Champions League round of 16 first leg between Newcastle United and the blaugranes.
He made a total of six appearances that 2025/26 season, before joining up with the first team squad as the 2026/27 season got underway. He was confirmed as a full first team squad member on 27 August and has made five appearances so far this season, including scoring his first goal for the Club and providing two assists. He has won the 2025/26 LaLiga title so far in his career.
