For the second game in a row, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky got blown out. This time around, they were dismantled by the New York Liberty.
Reese finished Thursday’s game without making a single shot. A pair of free throws kept her from being shut out of the scorer’s column. Unsurprisingly, she had 12 rebounds during this game.

There was one sequence in particular where Reese grabbed four offensive rebounds in one possession without ever scoring. As you’d expect, fans roasted the former LSU star for her brutal performance.
Some people even accused Reese of “stat-padding” against the Liberty.

“We laugh at Angel Reese missing layups but in reality its sad. She is very selfish, she will risk the liveliness of her teams success in order to stat pad rebounds and feed her own ego,” one fan said. “Its really bad.”
“At the end of the 1st quarter, Angel Reese has 0 points on 0-5 shooting. 5 of her 7 rebounds are on her own missed layups. When people throw shade at her, it’s because this is how she stat pads,” another fan wrote.

“Angel Reese trying to stat pad down 30 so she doesn’t go scoreless is shameless,” a third fan declared.
In just two games this season, Reese is making 22.7 percent of her shots. That’s simply not good enough for a pro.
Reese will have a chance to turn her season around on Sunday against the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Sky are still searching for their first win of the season.
