Dunmurry: Homes evacuated after suspected car bomb explodes near police station

Homes have been evacuated in Dunmurray, Northern Ireland as part of a security alert after an explosion near a police station.

Police confirmed they were at the scene following an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Kingsway area of the town, which is just outside Belfast.

Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area, with cordons in place.

It is understood the incident may have involved a car bomb, and no one is believed to have been injured.
