Buildings in the Dubbo CBD have been evacuated after a crane collapsed during a powerful storm.
The crane was buffeted by 115 kilometre per hour winds just before 4pm, causing the boom to break off.
A video recorded from a nearby window appears to show the boom smashing into a nearby apartment building.
NSW Police said there was a 150m exclusion zone in place and the surrounding buildings had been evacuated as a precaution.
There have been no reports of injuries at this stage.
