Joe Jonas wasn’t going to be a sucker when it came time to promote Krispy Kreme‘s National Coffee Day deal, which can get you a free coffee and doughnut on Monday, Sept. 29.
The doughnut chain enlisted the singer-songwriter and actor to help celebrate National Coffee Day. “I went and found the Krispy Kreme team and sat down with them, and I said, ‘I want to make National Coffee Day history,’ and that’s what this is,” said Jonas, who is described as a longtime Krispy Kreme fan in a news release.
Jonas negotiates the coffee and doughnut freebie in a fun video posted on Instagram and TikTok. When told the promo being taped is only about free coffee, Jonas says, “Well, you can’t have coffee without a doughnut.”
Thus, the terminology of Krispy Kreme’s deal on Sept. 29: A “free cup of Joe & Doughnut,” according to the release. The deal is good at any participating Krispy Kreme shop for a free medium hot or iced coffee and a free doughnut of choice, no purchase necessary.
“Joe loves Krispy Kreme and we’re in harmony with him that coffee is so much better with a fresh Krispy Kreme doughnut, or even when sharing a dozen,” said Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme’s chief brand and product officer at Krispy Kreme, in the news release.

You can get the free coffee and doughnut deal on Monday, Sept. 29, in stores and via drive-thru at participating shops nationwide.
Can’t wait for a doughnut? Beginning Saturday, Sept. 27, and through Monday, Sept. 29, you can get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for just $1 with the purchase of any dozen at regular price at participating locations, online or in the Krispy Kreme app.
The buy-one-get-one dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for $1 can be redeemed in drive-thru at participating shops and for pickup or delivery at krispykreme.com or via Krispy Kreme’s mobile app (use promo code BOGO1); while supplies last.
Krispy Kreme’s Fall Fair doughnut collection, available now
Available for a limited time at participating stores is a new doughnut collection inspired by the “sights, smells, and iconic tastes of your favorite seasonal fairgrounds,” the bakery chain announced Sept. 15.
The four flavors: Cotton Candy, Kreme Puff, Blue Ribbon Apple Pie, and Caramel Churro.
