They may be sitting in 16th and 17th but make no mistake, there’s plenty to play for at the Dragons’ spiritual home on Sunday afternoon.

With wins over the Broncos, Panthers and Sea Eagles since Round 14, the Titans continue to build nicely under Josh Hannay and give their fans plenty of hope for 2027.

The Dragons have done it tough this season and look destined to collect the first wooden spoon in joint venture history but their young forwards have been shining lights and will flourish next year with the likes of Luke Metcalf, Scott Drinkwater and Keaon Koloamatangi coming on board.

The final game of the round takes us to a packed 4 Pines Park for the battle of the beaches, north vs south, Foz v Fitzy, Joey and Jamal v Nicho and Tricky.

The Sharks have been perennial finalists for the past decade and will again be part of the September action while Manly have played finals just once in the past four years and face a tough run home.

Dragons: Just the one late change to Dean Young’s side in his first game as fully minted head coach, with prop Emre Guler elevated from the reserves to the interchange in place of Moses Suli. Fullback Clint Gutherson will play his 250th NRL game. 

Titans: No late changes for the Titans on game day. Kurtis Morrin will have to wait another week to return from a leg injury, so Siale Faeamani is on the six-man bench for the trip to Kogarah, where he’s looking to play his first NRL since Round 9. Jaylan De Groot is in the centres in place of AJ Brimson, who suffered a Category 1 head knock against the Sea Eagles.
