The postcode lottery raises money for charities
Residents of 29 different Welsh streets are £1,000 richer thanks to the People’s Postcode Lottery. The subscription lottery, which raises money for charities, sees players win cash prizes and good causes receive support. They sign up with their postcode and pay £12 per month.
They are then automatically entered into every draw and prizes are announced every day of the month. A total of 33% of the ticket price goes to charities. The latest batch of published results, from August 9 to September 5, shows August 14, 23, 24, and 25 were the luckiest days with three streets getting cash windfalls.
