Shoppers were evacuated from Bunnings Newstead on Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was made against the inner-city store.
The Bunnings Warehouse and surrounding stores were evacuated by emergency services about 8.30am.
Traffic was diverted off Ross Street, from Edmondstone Road to Durong Street, spanning the back end of the building and car park entrance.
A police spokesperson said officers conducted sweeps of the store.
“No suspicious items were located and there is no further information to indicate there is a threat to the public,” the spokesperson said.
The store and roads were reopened about 10.30am.
