Strictly Come Dancing came to an end this weekend as the 2025 winner was crowned.
After weeks of training and taking to the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor in a bid to impress the judges, it all came to an end this weekend.
BBC viewers saw Karen Carney crowned as the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 with her professional partner Carlos Gu.
The pair were visibly overwhelmed by the announcement, emotions were at an all-time high throughout the programme as it was Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s final time fronting the show.
The duo confirmed that this year would be their last on Strictly as they were going to be leaving when this series came to an end.
Although there hasn’t been any announcement on who will be replacing the pair, speculation is rife with the likes of Zoe Ball, Alison Hammond and Alan Carr being suggested.

As the show will look different next year without the pair, former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan shared his thoughts on what else he’d like to see on the BBC show as he remarked on the ‘magic’ of Strictly being lost.
During an appearance on Sunday’s BBC Breakfast, host Emma Vardy asked if James thinks that once a new presenter line-up is brought in, the BBC show needs a revamp in other aspects.
He replied: “I would maybe make the VTs a bit more authentic, I don’t want to see them going down to the cafe and having a chat about their dance.
“I want to see actuality, I want to see how they’re getting on in the training room, the struggles, the tears, the tantrums, the elation when they get steps right, learning new lifts, struggling with one dance over another.
“That’s what I want to see as a viewer now. Obviously, when I was involved in the show, I maybe didn’t look into it as deeply as I do now. I love Strictly, and I want it to go on for many years, but I do feel that it’s kind of maybe lost a little bit of magic.”
James also floated the idea of having a version of Strictly Come Dancing where ordinary people get a chance to compete.

He added: “We learn to love celebrities that perhaps we don’t know, well, why can’t the public have a go as well?
“Bring the public in, and over the weeks, you learn to fall in love with their journey as well, that would be one idea.”
Sharing his thoughts on the final, the former pro called it ‘bittersweet’ knowing it would be the last time Tess and Claudia would host together.
He also stated it was a shame not to see Emmerdale star Lewis Cope in the final, calling him ‘the best celebrity dancer’ Strictly has ever had.
James added: “I think Strictly is such an amazing show, you could change everyone on the show, literally the judges, the professionals, bring in new people and it would still work because the format is just so brilliant.
BBC Breakfast and Strictly Come Dancing are both available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
