Today reporter Andrea Crothers announces engagement to fiancée Amy Barton

Today reporter Andrea Crothers has shared the wonderful news that she’s engaged to her partner, Amy Barton.

“YES! To my favourite person, in my favourite place 💍 🥂,” the Today star announced on Instagram.

She also shared a snap of the newly engaged couple, while flashing her sparkling new “bling” to the camera.

Barton popped the question in Richmond, Tasmania, during an intimate picnic over the weekend.

Crothers opened up about the fairytale proposal during a live cross on Today on Monday morning.

“It went very well,” Crothers beamed.

“She surprised me when I was talking about the Richmond Bridge, which I said was a famous bridge but for no reason, it’s really boring.

“Then suddenly there was a surprise picnic there, so I had to eat my words.”

In one photo, Crothers showed off her sparkling diamond ring while holding Barton’s hand.

In other photos, the pair celebrated with glasses of bubbles, moments after Barton popped the question.

Friends and Today co-stars flooded the comments of her Instagram post with well-wishes.

Sylvia Jeffreys wrote: “Hooray!!! Huge congrats to you both ❤️❤️.”
