Saturday’s Las Vegas Fight Night card is looking a little different after Friday’s official weigh-ins.
The main event between Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber was turned into a catchweight bout after Barber missed the 125-pound flyweight limit, the UFC announced.
Barber weighed in at 126.5 pounds, missing the non-title limit by half a pound, while Blanchfield made weight.
Blanchfield is 7-1 in the UFC since debuting in 2021 and turned 26 earlier in May. Barber is 9-2 at the UFC level since her 2018 debut and recently turned 27. The pair were scheduled to fight at UFC 269 late in 2021, but Barber withdrew while Blanchfield fought and beat Miranda Maverick instead.

The fight between the up-and-comers could elevate the winner to the doorstep of title contention and a shot at superstar Valentina Shevchenko. Blanchfield is fourth and Barber is fifth on the contender ladder.
Further down the main card, the fight between top 10-ranked women’s bantamweight athletes Ketlen Vieira and Macy Chiasson will instead be fought at featherweight after Vieira missed the 135-pound mark.
On the men’s side, Trevin Giles is out of his fight against Andreas Gustafsson on the preliminary card. Rather than find another fighter to step in, the bout has been cancelled.
Gustafsson was set to make his UFC debut. His original opponent, Jeremiah Wells, withdrew from the bout.
Brazil’s Allan Nascimento, who was set to take on fellow countryman Jafel Filho, missed the 125-pound flyweight limit by a pound and a half after weighing in at 127.5 on Friday. The fight will continue at catchweight.
