A stretch of the M2 has reopened but severe delays remain after emergency crews and air ambulance responded to a crash.
National Highways says the crash involved car and a motorcyclist between Junction 5 for Key Street and Junction 6 for Faversham on the coastbound carriageway.

At the time, traffic reporting tool, Inrix, said both lanes of the M2 were closed while the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex helicopter landed and responded to the incident.
National Highways warned road users of approximately three miles of queues on the approach.
The motorway reopened at around 3.45pm, but severe delays remain. There is congestion on local routes through both Sittingbourne and Teynham.
Further details have not been confirmed by the emergency services.
It is the second crash to have occurred on the same stretch of the M2 coastbound today (May 25).

The first crash happened this morning on the M2 coast-bound at Junction 5 A249 turn-off for Sittingbourne and Stockbury Roundabout.
Separately, there was also traffic on the M25 after an accident near Junction 2 of the A2 Darenth Interchange. This has now started to ease.
Elsewhere, just after 12pm National Highways said there were 30-minute delays on the M20 between Junction 5 for Maidstone and Junction 9 for Ashford.
This is because of “multiple broken down vehicles”, a spokesperson said.
Recovery teams were sent to each incident and at around 1.30pm they confirmed the delays have since cleared and all vehicles have been recovered.

Meanwhile, just after 12pm Inrix reported that one lane was blocked on the A2 near Dartford because of an accident involving two cars.
Queues were building however, the accident has since been cleared between A2018 Old Bexley Lane, Dartford Heath and M25 Junction 2 for the Darenth Interchange.
The incident comes after an earlier accident on the A2 coast-bound near Southfleet where fire crews cut one person from a car.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to reports of a crash involving three cars just after 2.30am.
Two fire engines attended, and crews used cutting equipment to release one person from the vehicle.

One person was passed into the care of paramedics.
National Highways shut the road after the accident between A2260 Northfleet and B262 Pepperhill.
Then, just before 6am a spokesperson confirmed a secondary crash had occurred with the closure.
Recovery teams were sent and the road reopened just after 7am.
The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
