Alex de Minaur is setting himself up for a long stay at Wimbledon after moving into the third round today.

Speaking post game, he said he knew it would be a tough clash with Adrian Mannarino and he praised Court No.3 where he has played several previous matches.

“I knew how dangerous Adrian is and we’ve played each other many, many times,” de Minaur told the courtside MC.

“I think we both hate playing each other. We make each other’s lives very difficult.

“You guys would have seen there was not a lot of net clearance today, not a lot of top spin being played. A lot of flat, low shots and I will need some treatment on my lower back from bending down so much.”

“I love playing on this court and I’ve played some great matches here. It’s a great atmosphere, I love it and I’m hoping I can stay here for a long time.”
