Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy

We have followed Bridget Jones’s love life on screen since Renee Zellweger’s debut as the character created by Helen Fielding in 2001. And much like the romantic rollercoaster experienced by Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City, the 2020s finds Bridget a widow. Carrie finally married her Mr Big, and then lost him to an ignominious heart attack, and so it went for Bridget, whose Mr Darcy Mark (Colin Firth) was killed while undertaking humanitarian work overseas.
