The Set Theatre is a 400-capacity performing arts centre in the heart of medieval Kilkenny and it was here, on May 19 last, that one of Britain’s biggest contemporary bands returned to the live stage after a two-year hiatus.

Wolf Alice wanted to showcase new songs in an environment much more intimate than the large arenas they normally play and, after their rapturous reception in Marble City, they played similarly up-close-and-personal shows at Cork’s Cyprus Avenue and Limerick’s Dolan’s Warehouse.
