HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A lawsuit alleges Ward sexually assaulted a woman and was believed to be high on meth– all while their 3-year-old son was inside her home.

Instead of finding the football on defense, Texans Safety Jimmie Ward now finds himself at the center of a civil lawsuit after being arrested twice in two months.

According to a lawsuit filed in Harris County, Ward is being accused of both physically and sexually assaulting Cristy West multiple times this year.

It says West and the Texans’ defensive back were together for years and share a three-year-old son.

Court records show Ward was arrested on June 12 for a domestic assault charge. While investigators didn’t provide specific details at the time, according to a lawsuit, he barged into West’s home in Montgomery County, and his behavior was described as erratic and aggressive.

“On that night, she suspected he was under the influence of methamphetamines, specifically, crystal meth,” the lawsuit states.

That same day, the lawsuit says, Ward slapped and choked West, all while their son was asleep. In the lawsuit, West claims that Ward threatened to kill her and forced her to perform a sex act.

In the lawsuit, she claims a drug-fueled outburst came after.

“Ward jumped out of bed and began searching for her phone, accusing her of talking to other men,” the lawsuit says.

West says she grabbed their son, ran outside naked and injured, and called 911.

Ward was eventually arrested and landed behind bars again after an incident earlier this month, where he was accused of drinking and contacting her, which investigators say violated his bond agreement.
