Subi Night Market is finally set to make its return after the threat of inclement weather forced a postponement to proceedings last weekend.
Held at Market Square Park in Subiaco, the weekly evening markets will re-launch September 12, running each Saturday up to May 8 next year.
After welcoming more than 130,000 visitors last season, the beloved local market was due to return for its biggest season yet, transforming the popular space into a bustling weekly Saturday night destination.
Event director Kate MacKinnon said halting the markets’ return was a difficult decision.
“Postponing opening night wasn’t an easy call, but the safety of our vendors, staff and the Subiaco community always comes first,” she said last week.
Along with safety concerns, Ms MacKinnon said the call was made in the interest of delivering “the market experience everyone’s been looking forward to”.
More than 40 stalls will be awaiting attendees this coming season.
Among the line-up will be “Perth’s only Irish-inspired food trailer”, a Thai pancake roll specialist, authentic Italian piadina, specialty matcha, and loaded cookies.

A welcome return to the social calendar for families, revellers will be entertained by weekly live music from WAAPA students and alumni, Latin dancing, outdoor movie nights, Perth International Jazz Festival performances, Fringe programming, and various family-friendly entertainment.
Subi Night Market will run from 5pm to 9pm each Saturday from September 12 to May 8 2027, excluding Saturday 24 October 2026. Entry is free.
