James Sicily and Josh Battle shone bright against Adelaide.
Hawthorn defensive duo James Sicily and Josh Battle have both received coaches’ votes after standing tall in the Hawks’ 14-point loss against Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
Battle polled four votes for his 22 disposals, nine intercept possessions (equal game-high) and eight marks, playing a vital role in shutting down some of the Crows’ dangerous forwards.
Sicily received two votes from the coaches after recording game-highs in marks (11), intercept possessions (9) and inside 50s (7), complementing his 18 disposals at 94.4 per cent efficiency.
