Fan footage has emerged from the showcase event where the #888 car ploughed into a water-filled plastic barrier and drove away without significant damage.

Although it was not initially clear who was behind the wheel, Will Brown’s co-driver Scott Pye has confirmed he was at the wheel.

Pye was one of a handful of drivers tasked with driving the V8 for a series of demonstrations across Europe.

Taking to his Apex Hunters United account, Pye made light of the moment that happened in front of thousands of spectators.

“Could you imagine being this guy? How embarrassing,” Pye joke.

“What a f***ing wobbler. And then to think you can make it up with some donuts.

“At this point, I don’t even think he’s even going to remember doing the donuts.

“I just could not imagine how he feels right now. What a wobbler, absolute wobbler.”

The Ford Mustang is in the midst of an overseas tour, joining several Red Bull-affiliated events.

The Supercar appeared at the latest meeting alongside a Red Bull RB7 and World Rally Championship cars from Audi and Ford, as well as several Red Bull-backed, drift-spec BMWs.

It’s the second incident for the Triple Eight Ford Mustang after Arvid Lindblad clipped a DTM car during the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Riga, Latvia event was the fourth event in the European tour after visits to the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix, Goodwood Festival of Speed, and Red Bull Drift Masters Ireland.
