(Gray News) – Slurpee lovers, get ready: 7-Eleven’s Slurpee Day is right around the corner. And this year, the company is going all out to celebrate the iconic beverage’s 60th anniversary.

The gas station retailer is continuing its annual tradition of giving out free small Slurpees at participating 7-Eleven, Stripes and Speedway stores on July 11.

“Since landing in 7-Eleven stores in 1966, the Slurpee drink has become a pop culture staple and a beloved part of fans’ summer rituals, inspiring spontaneous 7-Eleven runs that turn ordinary days into lasting memories,” the company said in a press release.

To help celebrate the Slurpee’s diamond anniversary, 7-Eleven is providing a “special Slurpee Date experience” for couples.

“This summer, 7-Eleven is inviting customers to bring that same playful spirit to date night with the first ‘Slurpee Date,’ a fun, low-pressure way to ditch over-planned dates for something a little more slurpious,” 7-Eleven said.

According to the press release, select 7-Eleven and Speedway stores will have a “photo-op bench” where couples can pose for an on-site photographer. Attendees at these stores can also get limited-edition bedazzled Slurpee “S” double straws.

7-Eleven is also releasing a new Slurpee beverage flavor to mark the anniversary.

The limited-edition Mountain Dew Confetti Chill Slurpee drink is described as having a “bright citrus flavor” with notes of vanilla icing, similar to a lemon birthday cake. It will be available in 7-Eleven, Stripes and Speedway stores until Aug. 29, 2026.
