Premier Jacinta Allan has been referred to Victoria’s anti-corruption watchdog over allegations her office directed builders to cut a deal with the CFMEU and a labour hire company being investigated by state police.
Allan on Monday apologised for widespread corruption within her government’s $100 billion Big Build program but resisted calls for a royal commission despite growing pressure, including from within the ruling Labor Party.
