Matthew Stafford’s Wife, Kelly, Facing Backlash For Social Media Behavior

Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly, continues to cause some problems with her behavior on social media.

The wife of the Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams quarterback has went viral in the past for comments on her podcasts and comments on social media. It’s happening again this week, right in the middle of the 2026 NFL season.

This week, after the Rams cut ties with kicker Harrison Mevis, Mrs. Stafford was accused of taking a “pointed jab” at the ex-special teamer.

“God had a different plan than having that ball go through the uprights, but whatever the plan is, we trust it. ❤️ / The plan does, however, always include cute fits 🥰,” she wrote, making a clear reference to his missed kicks.

Mevis had two missed kicks during the game. The Rams have since cut Mevis and signed Blake Grupe.

It’s not the only social media move of the week from Kelly Stafford that sparked a lot of reaction, either.

She also complained to her husband about the difficulties of traveling during the NFL season.

NFL fans, unsurprisingly, are not having a lot of sympathy for Kelly Stafford

NFL fans are not feeling too bad for the wife of the quarterback who has made hundreds of millions of dollars.

“This woman just can’t stop being insufferable and embarrassing her husband,” one NFL fan wrote.

“Stafford is a millionaire. She has everything taken care of for her. He does the hard work and she basks in the glory. Anddddd she still complains….,” one fan added.

“This is normal married couple banter. You can see they have a flirtatious and feisty dynamic. People need to chill. She’s a good wife,” one fan added.

The Rams, 2-3 on the season, will be taking on the Cardinals on Sunday.
